TGFIF Congratulates New Leadership of Religious Zionists of America–Mizrachi

Founder and Executive Director Jonathan S. Greenwald joins the National Board of Religious Zionists of America–Mizrachi (RZA)

Jonathan S. Greenwald and The Greenwald Family Impact Foundation (TGFIF) congratulate Pace Cooper, Stephen M. Flatow and the newly elected national leadership of Religious Zionists of America–Mizrachi (RZA), following the organization’s Biennial Convention.

Pace Cooper of Memphis, Tennessee, was elected President of RZA, while Stephen M. Flatow assumed the role of Chairman. Together, they will serve alongside a new Executive Board and National Board representing Jewish communities across the United States.

Greenwald was also elected to RZA’s National Board.

He joins a National Board composed of religious, communal and civic leaders from across the country committed to advancing RZA’s mission.

Founded in 1913, Religious Zionists of America is one of the oldest Zionist organizations in the United States. RZA helped create pioneering Jewish communities in the Land of Israel, campaigned for the establishment of the State of Israel and inspired generations of American Zionists to make aliyah. Today, the organization is active in pro-Israel advocacy and Religious Zionist education.

RZA’s mission has a natural alignment with TGFIF’s work: strengthening Jewish life, deepening the relationship between the American Jewish community and Israel, supporting Jewish identity and resilience, and translating shared values into meaningful action.

On joining RZA's National Board, Greenwald said:

“As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11th and the third anniversary of October 7th, we are reminded that the values and freedoms we cherish require vigilance, commitment and action. On Moshe’s final day, he placed before us blessing and curse, life and death, and told us, ‘Choose life.’“I am honored to join the RZA National Board and to work alongside leaders committed to strengthening Jewish identity and the connection between American Jewry and Israel, and ensuring that the next generation, especially on our college campuses, has the confidence to stand proudly Jewish and proudly Zionist.”

In accepting the presidency, Cooper reflected on the opportunity to lead RZA at an important moment for Religious Zionism in America:

“My dream is not to build something new. My dream is to awaken something timeless. The opportunity before us is not to become something different, but to become everything we are capable of becoming.”

Cooper also emphasized strengthening the connection between American Jews and the State of Israel and deepening RZA’s partnership with World Mizrachi.

Flatow similarly outlined his vision for the organization and the importance of building a strong and vibrant Religious Zionist movement in America:

“We are trying to create a Religious Zionist movement in America that is intellectually serious, proudly Jewish, unapologetically Zionist and capable of reaching beyond the people already sitting in this room.”

The new leadership takes office at a consequential moment for the Jewish people and for the relationship between American Jewry and Israel. RZA has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Jewish life, championing Israel and advancing its shared commitment to Torah, Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael.

Greenwald and TGFIF congratulate Pace Cooper, Stephen M. Flatow and the entire incoming RZA leadership team, and look forward to working alongside them to advance this important mission.
