As we enter Rosh Hashanah 5787, the Torah’s account of Abraham, Isaac and the Akedah challenges us to consider the meaning of blessing, sacrifice, faith and the choices that shape our future.

Parashat Nitzavim–Vayelech reminds us that standing together requires more than words, it requires choice, responsibility and the courage to move forward. As one chapter closes and another begins, the Torah challenges us to choose life, remain steadfast and prepare the next generation to carry the mission forward.

Parashat Ki Teitzei begins with the words “When you go out to war against your enemies…”a reminder that before confronting what lies ahead, we must know what we are defending. In a world of shifting standards and moral confusion, the Torah calls on us to remain grounded in our values, our identity and our responsibility to one another.
